Our methodology

Every meal delivery review on MealFan is based on a minimum of 2 to 4 weeks of paid subscription testing. We pay for our own subscriptions (no free PR boxes), order at least 12 meals per service, and rate each service on:

• Per-meal cost after promotional pricing burns off (week 5 onward)
• Protein density measured in grams per serving and grams per dollar
• Taste by panel of 3 to 5 testers, blind-rated where possible
• Cold-chain reliability across 8 to 18 ZIP codes per service
• Cancellation friction timed in clicks and minutes
• Customer service response time on damaged shipments
