Meal Kit Quiz: Find Your Perfect Match in 2 Minutes
Picking a meal kit shouldn't take an afternoon of comparison tabs. This quiz asks five quick questions about how you actually cook, what you actually eat, and what you actually want to spend, and then matches you to the three services from our tracked list of 24 that are most likely to fit your life.
No email signup, no account, no tracking pixel. We do not store your answers and we do not sell your data. The match logic runs entirely in your browser. Every recommendation we make is grounded in our most recent hands-on testing notes on pricing, menu rotation, dietary support, packaging, and delivery reach. If your situation is unusual (very strict diet, rural ZIP, tight budget), the quiz will tell you that directly instead of forcing a recommendation.
How the matcher works
We score each of the 24 services we track against your answers on five dimensions: cooking effort, dietary fit, price per serving, household size, and delivery coverage. The three highest-scoring services are shown with a one-line reason for why they made your list. Run the quiz again with different answers any time. If your top three feels off, the explanations tell you exactly which dimension nudged each service in.
Answer 5 quick questions about how you cook, eat, and budget. We will match you to the 3 meal services most likely to actually fit your life. No email signup, no fluff.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the matcher decide my top three?
Each of your five answers maps to a weighted score on the 24 services we track. Cooking effort and dietary fit are the heaviest weights because they're the most common reason people cancel within the first month. Price per serving and delivery coverage are hard filters, not soft scores: a service that doesn't ship to your ZIP or that exceeds your stated budget never appears in your top three, even if it scores well elsewhere.
Do you store my answers or my email address?
No. The quiz runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to our server, no cookies are set for tracking, and you're never asked for an email. You can close the tab between questions and your progress will be lost. that's the trade-off for not storing anything.
How are the 24 services ranked under the hood?
Every service in our matcher has been ordered or tested by our review team in the last 12 months. We re-test pricing weekly and re-test menu rotation, packaging, and intro offers quarterly. The match logic uses the most recent test data; nothing is based on the company's own marketing claims. Our full methodology is on the About page.
Why these 24 services and not others?
We track services that (a) deliver to at least 30 US states, (b) have been operating for at least 12 months, and (c) publish enough menu information to compare honestly. Pure local services, ghost brands, and services that have shut down or paused operations are excluded. If a service you've heard of isn't in the matcher, it usually means one of those three things.
How often is the quiz updated?
Pricing data refreshes weekly. Service list and menu logic refresh monthly. The matching algorithm itself gets a deeper review every quarter, based on which recommendations our readers tell us hit and which missed.
What if my top three doesn't feel right?
Each result includes a one-line "why" explaining which of your answers pushed that service in. If one feels wrong, that explanation tells you which answer to revisit. You can also run the quiz again with different inputs as many times as you want. nothing is saved, so there's no cost to experimenting.
Do you earn a commission if I sign up?
Yes, on most of the services we track. We disclose this on every review and on our affiliate disclosure page. The match logic does not factor commission rates into your top three. Services we don't have affiliate relationships with appear in the matcher on the same terms as services we do.
