Ingredients
10 oz Ground Beef
2 each Burger Buns
16 oz Sweet Potato
3 oz Pickle Chips
1 oz Sliced Pickled Jalapeño Peppers
2 oz Shredded Cheddar & Monterey Jack Cheese Blend
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Rinse and dry the sweet potatoes. Place the beef in a bowl; season with salt and pepper. Gently mix. Form into two 1/2-inch-thick patties; season both sides with up to half the spice blend. Transfer to the tray. Bake uncovered 8 minutes. Remove from the oven (leave oven on).
2
Carefully flip the partially cooked patties; top evenly with half the cheddar and Monterey Jack. Return to the oven uncovered 7-9 minutes until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked through. USDA minimum: 160°F for beef.
3
Meanwhile, prick each sweet potato several times with a fork. Wrap in a damp paper towel. Microwave on high 9-12 minutes until fork-tender. Halve lengthwise when cool enough.
4
Wrap the buns in foil and place directly on an oven rack. Warm 5-7 minutes until heated through. Build the burgers with the warmed buns, barbecue sauce, cooked patties, pickles, and crispy onions. Serve with the cooked sweet potatoes. Top the sweet potatoes with sour cream and as many peppers as you like.
