It is not the cheapest prepared meal service in the country, but in Alaska the comparison set is empty: it is the only national subscription that will take a 995xx ZIP code. Trifecta publishes its Alaska pricing plainly: shipping is a flat $9.99 per box in the Lower 48 and $49.99 per box to Alaska and Hawaii. That is a $40.00 difference every single week if you order weekly, and it lands on top of per meal prices that start around $14.75. The surcharge is flat per box, not per meal, so the practical move is to order larger, less frequent boxes: the same $49.99 spread over a bigger order stings less per plate. Compare that weekly total honestly against an Anchorage grocery run before subscribing, because grocery prices here are already above the national average and the math is closer than it looks.

Nothing drives to Alaska in two days. A Trifecta box headed north travels by air freight, then hands off to FedEx, UPS or GSO for the final leg, with delivery typically landing on a Friday or Saturday in an 8AM to 8PM window. The meals ride in an insulated liner with cooler packs sized for the journey, and because Trifecta meals are fully cooked and vacuum sealed, a box that arrives cool but not icy is still fine to refrigerate or freeze.
