What to Know Before You Cancel

Every meal kit service has a weekly order cutoff -- typically Wednesday or Thursday night. If you cancel after the cutoff, you will still receive (and be charged for) that week's box. Cancel before the cutoff to avoid the next charge.

  3. Find the Cancel option -- look for "Cancel Plan," "Cancel Subscription," or "Cancel Membership." It may be near the bottom of the settings page.
  4. Complete the exit survey -- most services ask why you are canceling. You must complete this to proceed.
  5. Confirm the cancellation -- look for a final confirmation button or email. Save the confirmation email as proof.

Should You Pause Instead of Cancel?

Before you cancel, consider pausing or skipping deliveries. Most T1 meal kit services allow you to skip between 2 and 8 weeks without canceling your subscription. Pausing keeps your account active, preserves your introductory or loyalty pricing, and lets you restart without re-entering payment details.

When pausing makes sense: you are going on vacation, you want to reduce spending temporarily, or you are just feeling overwhelmed with food. When canceling makes more sense: you no longer want the service at all, you want to avoid any future charges, or you have already paused multiple times and the charges keep resuming.
