Oatly Original is a plant based milk built from an oat base of water and oats, with low erucic acid rapeseed oil (canola) added for that creamy mouthfeel. A cup runs 120 calories with 3g protein and 16g carbs, which is where the honesty matters: the label shows 7g total sugars and all 7g are counted as added sugars, because the enzymes that liquefy the oats break the starch down into sugar. If you are dairy free and want something that froths and pours like milk, it does the job well. If you are watching sugar or avoiding seed oils, this is not the plainest option on the shelf.
