The catch

Despite the light name, a 2/3 cup serving is 250 calories with 9g sugar coming mostly from organic cane and brown rice syrups, and only 4g protein. (source)

The honest take

MadeGood Crispy Light Granola is a crunchy cereal and granola hybrid built on organic gluten free oats and brown rice crisps, sweetened with organic invert cane syrup and brown rice syrup. It is genuinely allergy friendly, made in a dedicated facility free from the top common allergens, and it is certified USDA organic, vegan, gluten free and Non GMO Project verified. The catch a health minded shopper should notice is that a 2/3 cup serving runs 250 calories with 9g sugar and only 4g protein, so the word light describes the airy texture, not the calorie load. It is a solid allergy safe granola for yogurt or milk, but it is not a low sugar or high protein pick.
