It is fully unsweetened and tart with 5g of naturally occurring milk sugar, so whatever sweetener you stir in is on you and can quickly erase the zero added sugar advantage. (source)
The honest take
FAGE Total 2% is about as clean as strained Greek yogurt gets, made from just pasteurized milk, cream, and five live cultures with nothing else added. A 3/4 cup serving gives you 17g of protein for only 120 calories, and the 5g of sugar is all naturally occurring lactose with 0g added. It is thick, tangy, and genuinely versatile whether you eat it sweet or savory. The one thing to know going in is that it is completely plain and quite tart, so it is a base you flavor yourself rather than a ready to eat snack.

What buyers say
Eric Sornoso, FounderAug 11, 2026
FAGE Total is the plain Greek yogurt I keep in the fridge on repeat. Just milk and live cultures, thick enough to stand a spoon in, and a serious protein hit with nothing artificial. The 5 percent is my pick for flavor, the 2 percent when I want it lighter. Skip the fruit-on-the-bottom versions and add your own.
