The catch

Every one of the 7g of sugar per pouch is added sugar, and the cookies are sweetened with cane sugar syrup and brown sugar with almost no protein or fiber to balance it. (source)

The honest take

These are little soft chocolate cookies built for lunchboxes, and the allergy story is the real draw. Each 24g pouch is certified organic, vegan, gluten free, non GMO, and free from the top allergens including dairy, eggs, wheat, tree nuts, soy, and peanuts, which is genuinely hard to find. Nutritionally though it is still a cookie: one pouch runs 120 calories with 7g of sugar, all of it added, plus only 1g of protein and 1g of fiber, so it is a treat rather than a snack that keeps you full. If you want a clean label sweet for a kid with allergies it delivers, but do not mistake it for a health food.
