The honest take

These are heat and eat pinto beans simmered with jalapeno, tomato, onion, garlic and smoked paprika, and the ingredient list is genuinely clean with organic beans, avocado oil instead of a seed oil, and no added sugar. Per half cup you get 7g of plant protein and 7g of fiber for just 120 calories, which is a lot of staying power for a canned side. The real catch is sodium at 650mg per serving, so a full can lands you north of 2000mg. If you eat them as a side and watch salt elsewhere, they are one of the cleaner canned bean options on the shelf.
