The catch

It packs 14g of carbs per serving, higher than most whey isolates, and as a single plant source it is not a complete protein. (source)

The honest take

This is about as clean as a protein powder gets, one ingredient of expeller pressed blanched almonds with no added sweeteners, flavors, or colors. A 44g scoop gives you 20g of plant protein alongside 6g of fiber and just 25mg of sodium, which is genuinely low. The honest reality is that it also carries 14g of carbs per serving and a plain, nutty taste, so it works better stirred into oats, smoothies, or baking than as a standalone shake. Almond protein is also not a complete amino profile the way whey is, so athletes chasing muscle building may want to pair it with other protein sources.
