The honest take

The CLIF Chocolate Chip is an organic oat and syrup energy bar built to fuel a workout, not to be a low sugar snack. Each 68g bar runs 250 calories with 10g of plant protein and 5g of fiber, which is genuinely useful before a long ride or hike. The catch is that it leans on organic cane syrup and brown rice syrup, so you get 16g of added sugar, roughly a third of a day's limit. If you are grabbing it as an everyday desk snack rather than endurance fuel, that sugar adds up faster than the label suggests.
