Zbar, formerly Clif Kid Zbar, is an organic soft baked oat bar built for kids lunchboxes, and the certified organic whole grain oats are a genuine plus. The catch is that after the oats the bar leans heavily on sugar, with 11g total sugars and 8g added sugar packed into a small 36g bar, plus only 2g of protein to balance it. Independent analysis from EWG pegs it at roughly 28 to 31 percent sugar by weight. It works as a cleaner cookie style treat, but it is not the filling or protein rich snack most adults are actually after.
