The second and only other ingredient is palm oil, added to stop separation, which purists avoid on sourcing and processing grounds even though the jar still lands at just 3g saturated fat per serving. (source)
The honest take
This is about as clean as a jarred nut butter gets, with a two line ingredient list of dry roasted almonds and palm oil, no added sugar, and just 10mg of sodium per 2 tablespoon serving. You get 6g of protein and 3g of fiber alongside 19g of mostly unsaturated fat, so it earns its place as a whole food fat source rather than a treat. The one thing a purist will notice is the palm oil, which Justin's adds to keep the oil from separating, so if you want almonds and nothing else you would reach for a single ingredient grind instead. For everyone else it is a genuinely honest label at a fair 220 calories a serving.
