The catch

Despite the protein name, each 2 bar serving has only 8 grams of protein but 7 grams of added sugar, with canola oil and tapioca syrup ranking high in the ingredients. (source)

The honest take

KIND Breakfast Protein bars look wholesome on paper, built on five whole grains with almond butter and a touch of honey, but the protein name oversells them. A 2 bar 50g serving is 220 calories with just 8 grams of protein against 28 grams of carbs and 7 grams of added sugar, and tapioca syrup and canola oil both sit near the top of the ingredient list ahead of the almond butter. They are a fine soft baked breakfast grain bar, gluten free and dairy free, but if you are reaching for them as a protein bar you can do better.
