The catch

Every gram of the 6g of sugar is added sugar from syrups, and with only 1g fiber and 2g protein per 24g bar it behaves more like a snack cookie than a filling granola bar. (source)

The honest take

MadeGood built these around allergy safety and they deliver on that front, with USDA Organic, Non GMO Project Verified, certified vegan and gluten free status, all made in a dedicated nut free facility. Nutritionally though they read like a light treat rather than real fuel, at 110 calories with just 1g of fiber and 2g of protein per bar, and all 6g of sugar coming from added sweeteners like agave, brown rice syrup and invert cane syrup. The one number I genuinely like is sodium, which sits at a low 35mg per bar. If you want an allergen safe lunchbox snack these fit the bill, but do not expect them to keep you full.
