The catch

The 0g total sugars label leans on about 9g of allulose per serving, a sugar the FDA does not count on the label and which can cause bloating for some people in larger bowls. (source)

The honest take

Magic Spoon reworks sugary childhood cereal into a high protein bowl, with 13g of complete protein from whey and casein and 0g of total sugar per serving. It gets there with allulose and monk fruit instead of sugar, plus milk protein and tapioca starch, so it is genuinely low in sugar but also an ultra processed food, not a whole grain one. If you want a low carb, blood sugar friendly cereal and you tolerate allulose, it delivers, though at roughly 9 dollars a box it is far from cheap.

What buyers say

Eric Sornoso, FounderAug 10, 2026
The cereal I eat when I want the nostalgia without the sugar crash. High protein, grain free, and almost no net carbs. The honest catch is that the sweetness is from allulose and monk fruit, so a big bowl can bother some stomachs. Start with a half bowl and see how you feel.
