The catch

The real tradeoff is price and omega 3 value, roughly 4.85 dollars for a single 3oz serving that carries only 552mg of EPA and DHA, well below what a cheaper can of sardines gives you. (source)

The honest take

This is about as clean as canned fish gets. A 3oz drained serving delivers 20g of protein for 190 calories with a four ingredient list of wild yellowtail, organic extra virgin olive oil, water, and sea salt, so there is no added sugar, no seed oil, and no filler. Sodium is genuinely low at 150mg per serving, which is a nice change from the 300mg plus you see in a lot of canned tuna. The honest reservation is that the omega 3 payoff is modest for an oily fish at 552mg EPA and DHA per serving, so if you are eating canned fish mainly for omega 3s, sardines or salmon give you more for less money.
