They are roasted in sunflower oil, so a snack marketed as simple almonds still carries added seed oil, which matters if you are avoiding it. (source)
The honest take
These are whole almonds roasted in sunflower oil with a light touch of sea salt, and the numbers back up the marketing. One ounce, about 28 nuts, gives you 6g of plant protein and 3g of fiber for 170 calories, with just 40mg of sodium and 1g of naturally occurring sugar. If you are watching salt, that 40mg is genuinely low, roughly half of what the roasted salted version carries. The one thing to know is that these are not raw or dry roasted, so you are also getting added sunflower oil on top of the almonds own healthy fats.
