The catch

Sodium runs 300mg per 2.6 oz pouch, about 13 percent of a day, which adds up quickly if you eat two. (source)

The honest take

This is about as clean as pouched tuna gets, with a four ingredient label of light tuna, water, vegetable broth and salt, delivering 17g of protein for just 70 calories per 2.6 oz pouch. It is skipjack, the lower mercury light tuna, so it sits in a regular rotation more comfortably than albacore. The one thing worth watching is sodium at 300mg per small pouch, which is 13 percent of a day in a few bites. For a shelf stable, zero sugar, high protein staple it is genuinely hard to fault.
